This release supports Windows 11 and Windows Server 2022. For the SocketTools Subscription and .NET Edition, this update includes .NET 6.0.5 assemblies for use with Visual Studio 2022. If you are using Visual Studio 2022, it is recommended you install the current release version which is 17.2 at the time of this release.
We recommend you uninstall the previous release of SocketTools 10 on your development system prior to installing this update.
You do not need to uninstall previous versions of SocketTools. For example, if you also have SocketTools 9.5 installed on your development system, you do not need to uninstall that version.
The SocketTools installer packages and components have been digitally signed with an extended validation (EV) Authenticode certificate which uses SHA-256 signatures. Security software on older, unsupported platforms such as Windows XP and and Windows Server 2003 may report the installers as having an invalid certificate because they only recognize MD5 and SHA-1 signatures.
