Free Upgrades
Upgrading your SocketTools license to the current version entitles you to free updates, unlimited technical support by e-mail and access to our support forums, knowledge base and online help. Renewing your SocketTools Subscription includes priority support and free upgrades to new releases for the term of the subscription. Additional support options are available.
SocketTools has been designed to be backwards compatible with previous versions as much as possible, and in most cases only requires minimal code changes. If you are upgrading from SocketTools 8.0 or later versions, you should find the component interfaces and APIs to be very similar to the current release. Please note that there have been changes to the values of options and other constants. If your application was using hard-coded or custom values, make sure you review them to ensure they match the current version.
If you are placing an order during normal business hours on a weekday, it will be processed that day. Orders placed on a weekend or holiday will be processed the next business day. Once your order has been processed, you will receive a serial number that you can use to license your copy of the software.
If you have previously downloaded the product, you can enter the serial number using the License Manager utility that is included with the software. It is not necessary for you to download the product again, unless you wish to update your software to the current version.
