Microsoft released .NET 9.0 RC2 on October 8, 2024. It is the unification of earlier versions of the .NET Framework with .NET Core, enabling developers to use a single framework and runtime with uniform behavior supported on multiple platforms.
To work with the .NET 9.0 RC2 preview you will need to install the current release of Visual Studio 2022 Preview (v17.12) and the .NET 9.0 RC2 SDK from Microsoft's website:
