Microsoft released .NET 7.0 Release Candidate 2 (RC2) on October 11, 2022. It is the unification of earlier versions of the .NET Framework with .NET Core, enabling developers to use a single framework and runtime with uniform behavior supported on multiple platforms.
To work with the .NET 7.0 Framework, you will need to install the current release of the Visual Studio 2022 Preview (17.4.0 Preview 3.0).
You can use these download links for the current version of Visual Studio and the .NET 7.0 Framework.
This preview build has a minimum required version of SocketTools 10 Build 1416 or a later version. If you have an earlier version of SocketTools, you will need to upgrade to the current release. This update is free to developers who have a version 10 license.
SocketTools 10 remains focused on Windows desktop and server development and will only provide support for those platforms. If you have any questions about using the .NET 7.0 assemblies, please contact us.
