Version 11 Build 2210 (11.0.2210.1824) was released which includes updates for all SocketTools Editions. This update includes assemblies for .NET 9.0 and improvements to how secure connections are established on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Note that .NET 9 requires Visual Studio 2022 17.12 which includes the release version of the .NET 9.0 SDK. You can download this update using the link below.

The final release candidate for .NET 9 was published by Microsoft on October 8, 2024. We have a version of the SocketTools 11 assemblies built using the latest preview version. When .NET 9 is officially released in November 2024, SocketTools will include the release build as part of the standard installation package. You can download the assemblies using the link below.

An updated version of the OpenSSL 3.3 package is available for download. Although SocketTools does not use OpenSSL, we provide compiled binaries for Windows because it is a useful open source tool for creating certificates and testing secure connections.

Microsoft has released the .NET 8 SDK and updated assemblies for SocketTools 11 are available for download. Note that Microsoft will end support for .NET 7 on May 14, 2024. If you are currently using .NET 7, we recommend updating your project to switch to .NET 8 which is a long-term support (LTS) release that will be supported until November 2026.

SocketTools 10 reached end-of-support on August 31, 2023. Updates and free technical support will no longer be available for this version. To continue to receive support and future updates, you can upgrade your development license to SocketTools 11. The final build is version 10.0.1468.2518 which you can download using the link below.

Microsoft has announced they are ending technical support for Windows 8.1 on January 10, 2023. Paid extended support options for Windows 7 will also end on this date. Windows Server 2012 is scheduled to reach end-of-support on October 10, 2023. While we will continue to offer support for these platforms, it is recommended you upgrade to a supported version of Windows as soon as possible.
